Gayatri Datar, co-founder and CEO of EarthEnable, has worked in international development her entire career. She previously served as a consultant for Dalberg Global Development Advisors, New Sector Alliance, The Boston Consulting Group, and the World Bank. In this capacity, she has worked with grassroots NGOs in India, Namibia, Nicaragua, and Albania. Gayatri holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard, an MBA from Stanford, and an MPA in international development from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
EarthEnable develops custom earthen floors for homes in Rwanda and Uganda to eliminate common health issues caused by dirt floors such as asthma, diarrhea, and malnutrition, at an affordable price. An EarthEnable floor is 75% cheaper than concrete alternatives and eliminates unsanitary dirt floors- providing affordable, washable flooring to thousands of families.
